I am switching my bravo out for a non scalloped RS with a full ARCA rail to shoot sportsman this year.Has anyone used the stock in PRS style matches? Wondering if the design features make up for the lack of weight the stock has (compared to other heavy chassis)

Sportsmans class is the only class I'd consider shooting it unless you're fine with making things harder on yourself than necessary or just want to practice with something closer to a hunting rifle. Beyond recoil management, you're just not going to be as stable on bags as you would be with a more dedicated heavy stock/chassis.Has anyone used the stock in PRS style matches? Tikka Hunter DBM Bottom Metal - Hawkins Precision
The Tikka Hunter DBM bottom Metal is designed for Tikka shooters looking for a flush mounted bottom metal that will accept AICS or Hawkins Hunter magazines.hawkinsprecision.com
This is a big deal for hunters wanting a flush mag solution, especially for long action and short magnum cartridges. It may even have application for the 223 guys given reliability of 223 feeding out of AICS vs tikka plastic. I'll get some to test.Got an email this morning that Hawkins had released Tikka Hunter DBM Bottom Metal. Might give it a try on my next build.

Superior bag riding, adjustability on tripod and sitting height bipod, single surface for lack of snagging. This is a gamer setup. No weight tweaking required with a sitting height bipod attached.Curious why the full arca rail on the stock?
And are you adding some weight to the stock or leaving the weight and balance as it is?

Nevermind. Chop saw worked good. Slow and steady, real clean cut.I just got an AB 10 can with the 5" reflex. Barrel is 16.5", sits in a rokstok and the reflex hits the front of the stock before fully threading on.
Any reason I cant lop like 1/2" off the end to make room for the reflex, other than looks? I assume the end will be ragged but I can cover that with epoxy or something to clean it up

I called them earlier today. It only fits their proprietary inlet. This is a big deal for hunters wanting a flush mag solution, especially for long action and short magnum cartridges. Good intel. Figured as much. The reality is that all of these non-Standard bottom metals are their own inlet, even if they are advertised otherwise. They all need to be scanned and cut.I called them earlier today. It only fits their proprietary inlet.
