RokStok

Man they better be sending you an Easter basket with that stock. Holy f*^+
Haha yeah, but I don’t want to wait until Easter for the basket! ;)
…it’s not like I’m without rokstok though.
The struggles with LE stock production were beyond annoying, but at least I’ve got two others (the first railed tikka in spring 2024 and then later a bare carbon no-rail). First world problems for sure

Just checking in.

Anymore 12/23/23 still waiting?

I am Probably one of the last LE green stragglers. Admittedly mine might have gotten delayed when I had them cerakote it with a barreled action. If it doesn’t ship by end of week I’ll be pretty disappointed since it was painted a couple weeks ago.

Have they changed the inlet around the shank/front of action on these yet? I don't understand why they feel the need to taper so tight around the front of the action. PVA sporter prefits burn tight on the two sendero channel ones I have. I have an ACE "tikka lite" contoured 223 that seems it may have issues on fitment even. Need to investigate further but it was shooting well in a bravo, put in rokstok and it went to shit - nearly 2" 10 shot groups. Back in bravo and it cranked out a 10 shot that was probably near 1/2" right away.

Both the diameter around the barrel shank and how it tapers right in front of the action seem like areas to create stress. Not sure why they’d do that? You can tell the action is tight against that taper by looking at it.7DED5C41-E494-493B-A82D-1F009F211921.jpeg

Have you done a comparison yet? Do you tend to prefer the low or medium rings with the rokstok? I am going to mount the stock on a tikka 243 but have not bought the ring or Maven scope yet. Please let us know your thoughts if you have compared the low vs medium rings.
I had lows and ended up having to go with medium when my rokstock showed up

Do you plan on relieving it? The last VG I got from Stocky's was tight there as well.

Has anyone else had issues?

I was a pre-order to the pre-order. Haven’t received mine yet, but looking forward to it soon as it looks like some of the LE replacements are shipping.

I know others have had issues with bipods slipping on their SRS Trinity picatinny rail. I experienced this today with my new Gunwerks Elevate bipod and it chewed the rail up a bit before I noticed and it was on the verge of falling off the rail. I remember someone mentioning the Accushot 1913 as a good alternative, can someone tell me what length/model they've had success with. Or perhaps another solution that allows me to use this new bipod

I believe @NSI has a trick.

Bummer because SRS still says it works for the Gunwerks despite acknowledging they’ve never tried it.

It CAN work on some, but some it does not. There are differences in machining between the 3 different style of rails I have on my personal Rokstoks. Message @NSI for an insert he uses to make it work.

Has anyone just replaced their rail with an Accushot rail? I traded messages with @NSI earlier this year but he had told me it wasn't ready at that point. I just followed up but would like to find another solution in case his product isn't available/won't work. Hearing there are three solutions makes me a bit nervous and it seems like a different rail should solve this. Am I missing a reason as to why a different rail won't work other than it extends past the end of the stock?

When I received my rokstok, it was shipped with a pic rail on accident. UM was quick to resolve by shipping the arca/pic out the next day. I noticed that the Gunwerks Elevate 2.0 didn't fit the same on the two rails. I had to really tighten down the set screw for it to tighten well enough on my arca/pic, and it will only hold if clamped as far forward as possible. If I had it slightly back on the pic section towards the arca, it seemed to flare out slightly and wouldn't allow the mount to fully clamp. With the pic only rail, it worked well as long as I had the set screw adjusted.

We do have this solved and available now, I'm just trying to be careful to respect Rokslide's rules on solicitation since I'm not a sponsor.

Have you adjusted the micro adjust on the bipod?
