RokStok

Got my second stock through go big tac in BC a couple days ago. My original order from UM was a sendero contour that I ordered for a proof but have been using it with another factory tikka barreled action. After receiving this stock in tikka sporter contour I can say everything fits as it should but if I order a third it will be a 3b. I'll probably open the barrel channel up on this one as it's a little tighter than I care for, although compared to factory tikka it's very similar. I'd say the 3b inlet would be the easy button for guys that like a little wide set v*gina but aren't quite ready for the hotdog down a hallway look of the sendero. Really liking these stocks so far and was happy to be able to get a second quickly, anybody in Canada I can't recommend go big Tactical enough, under 5 days to get my stock from order.
I agree. Ordered a tikka sendero inlet from GBT a couple of weeks ago. Ended up being the wrong stock ( was a r700 medium). They were quick to ship and to respond. They did everything they could to help. Unfortunately there’s no eta on a sendero now. They had a 3b come in, and offered me 1st chance. So I took it and will build something else in it for now.
For size reference though, the “3b” will pretty almost fit my factory varmint barrel with slight contact.

12/27/23 order arrived today. Did not receive shipping confirmation, just a happy surprise at the gate 432 days after ordering.

Weighed 33.5oz w/trinity rail vs 29oz for a July delivered RS w/ arcapic. The trinity rail is excellent in idea and execution, except for the limitations of the minuscule pic lugs (for which I have a workaround - pm me if you're in need).

Fit and finish is questionable, as many have noted. It does not affect function and I do not care. As the price point begins to rise this may become an issue, but it is not at the price I paid. There is what feels like a 2 thou lip between each of the colors on the 3-color cerakote job. I assume this means they were overpainted instead of masked. So long as it proves durable, that too doesn't bother me. This was painted by Amber, who was since let go. My interactions with her were positive. Cody handled my calls thereafter, before being handed off to Alek and finally Cody again.

Wrist seam (CF artifact):

Representative cerakote defects (there are about half a dozen minor ones in addition to the fairly obvious butthole):

None of this is meant to be a complaint. If it was, I would have raised it privately with UM. Just want to give this group an idea of what to expect when both the Fit & Finish as well as the Final Inspection Cerakote quality review are signed off on their red carpet card. This is not a McMillan. Don't expect one, and you'll be happy like me.

This is a CTR inlet with an Atlasworx CTS-AICS BM. The inlet was tight but overcome with a mallet. The ejection port sits precisely flush with the top of the stock, which I hope will not cause ejection issues. I'll report back again after shooting this (308 for now).

What color should I cerakote my barreled action to match this Parker Hale / M40 ish scheme?

I'm still 2 months away from my Tikka 6.5-7PRC ( not improved shoulder) wildcat to be finished. I really like Crocodile, it's metallic like burnt bronze. That's my action color and sponge on the stock with other greens and chocolate colors.

That is pretty rough whether it's going to get beat up in the field or not. I would send it back just on principle.

fairly obvious butthole
At least it's not the sneaky unobvious butthole... those are the worst! (ha)

All joking aside, that's a sweet build, color scheme compliments the spirit/history of the .308 (as long as it wears that barrel anyway)
