Is that normal for carbon fiber stocks?
There was a thread not long ago about a Stockys stock and one of there first runs (not a seconds or blem) had the pitting like that.

My two bare carbon stocks are more pitted than i like.

Not a deal breaker for me and i still love them but the cerakote option might be better. My other two are cerakoted.

For what it's worth, rokstocks are far from the most expensive way to restock a rifle. And they were pretty upfront about bare carbon being problematic from a cosmetic perspective. Pretty sure folks were given the opportunity to swap over to cerakote. Totally understand wanting my new shit to be flawless though. Even if I know I'm going to bang the crap out of it.

Tikka build. Black carbon camo Rokstok, 20” barrel 7mm PRC, mini arca rail, spartan pic. Full lightening job with nitride and spiral flut bolt. UM even did the Q tapper in the barrel to fit up with my Q Half Nelson silencer.

Considering the level of mail piracy this is totally unacceptable. If mine is stolen because it sat on the porch because I had no idea it was coming. I’ll be irked.

Edit: matter of fact if mine is delivered and not stolen and I don’t get a tracking number I’ll still be pissed. Every deliver should come with a notification. Much l we a $500 plus dollar delivery. I get a tracking number and delivery notification from fellow roksliders in the classifieds. If I company can’t do that level of CS it’s worth calling out.

Just create a FedEx/UPS account with your email and address. I always get tracing when a package is arriving whether the sender provides it or not.

I also recommend USPS account with mail scanning or whatever. You get an image of incoming mail that day plus any packages.

True but if a gunmaker that doesn’t have a free rokslide hall pass were to ship a factory offering with a stock that looked like that, and someone shared, it would be getting shit all over.

Received mine today. Haven’t mounted it yet, but I do like the grip on it better than the Stockys VG…fits my hand size well. I thought the quality on the stockys was nicer though. The Rokstok I received is a bit rough compared to the stockys VG.
