No disrespect — but you’re the one saying that it works fine on your rail. What torque do you recommend if that’s the case?

I’ve heard from too many people that it doesn’t work, which is why I ask.
I think another way to phrase it from his end is "they can work when there is enough friction from the clamping force alone, the reoil lug is not engaged, contact gunwerks for their clamping for recommendations / max torque".

I guess my point is plenty of people have said it doesn’t work.

So it does seem a bit disingenuous to say, “no, it does work with enough clamp force but I can’t/won’t say what that is.”

I think he is saying he doesn't want to say what the exact torque limit without stripping of a tiny set screw on another companies bipod is.

I would also like to know. I chose the pic rail/spartan on 4 stocks for the possibility of using the gunwerks bipod. Its very disappointing that it does not work with it

I have the gen 1 gunwerks bipod and it does work but it slides all the way to the rear of the mount due to that center slot being to wide for the recoil lug. It takes effort to move it forward from there but you can. I haven’t tightened anything on it so it’s all straight from the factory. If you mount it as far back as you can you shouldn’t have any issues.

I don’t use it for hunting though and I don’t leave it attached to my rifle. I use it for the range so that may be why I’m not having issues.

Has anyone else had issues with bottom metals and Waters rifleman mags? I sanded a bit to get my high desert bottom metal to fit, but it needed way too many shims to allow the mag to catch. Stock plastic bottom metal still needed about 4thou of shims to engage. Stock tikka mag needed about 1-2 thou less shim.

High desert is working on a version 2 that should work better. Hope to have one to test out soon.

My high desert didn’t work also.Needed too
many shims, sat too proud for my liking
and factory mag was too tight. Maybe some sanding would fix that. Factory bm worked good with 1 shim, mag has slight play.
High desert now states on website might not be compatible with Rokstok.
Is the gen2 specifically made for the Rokstok?

Not specifically for the Rokstock, but more generally for Stockys style inlets. Rokstock is definitely worse than both of my VGs. Will have more room to avoid trigger contact and less sanding. The prototype we tried needed much less shimming but still some.

Seems like a persistent design “feature” of stockys inletting dimensions.

My waters mag fits fine in the factory bottom metal on 1 rokstok and extremely tight on another rokstok with high desert bottom metal. I believe the factory is not shimmed and the high desert has 1 shim but not sure how thick. I don’t want to take it apart but imagine a slight bit more shim it would fit fine.

Same here with factory bottom metal, the factory mag and Waters mags fit well with no shims in 2 different Rokstoks.
