RokStok

Finally got mine out today. Lately I’ve been shooting with the butt pad much closer to center of my body than I have previously, allows for a much more comfortable upright head position for me with high enough scope rings and really helps me with recoil control. The Rokstock, while not uncomfortable for me, isn’t as comfortable as my competition rifles that I shoot a ton. Find myself pressing my head into the stock pretty bad. I know a higher ring would help but the only option I have here is only 0.1” taller without going to a full rail and rings. Going to try this barreled action in a HNT26 this week as well to see if that remedies some of my specific, personal issues. Rifle is an 18” 6CM and spotting impacts was very easy.

I think the Maven exaggerates this. It's eye relief is excessively long combined with its longer eyepiece and tube section limit8ng its mounting position on most rifles its pushing your eye position further back (into the higher part of the stock. I can see you have it mounted at maximum forward like most. I found it can't get it close to far enough far enough for the Howa Mini Action for proper prone shooting.

I didn't notice this until you pointed it out.

Mine barely worked out.

I'd really like to get a 22cm after my 243 for short barrel performance without having to up the powder usage.

As shooting gets more expensive and I think about how much copper and lead is becoming unrecoverable by being spread all throughout the land rather than a localized source (mine/range), I'm really gravitating towards more efficient cartridges that get the job done. The side benefit, or it's that's the other way around, is less recoil.
The 22 Creed is the way to go. But to put the copper resource in perspective, The Int. Copper association says there is a worldwide reserve of 5000 million tonnes, and an annual consumption of 28 million tonnes. So we have enough for 178 years. 30% of copper demand is met through recycling.

Anyone using the leather or neoprene cheek piece? How’s the adhesive holding up and would you recommend either?
I did order the leather cheek piece but did not use it on the RokStok. With medium rings, it is perfect without it. I did however add it to a tikka "stock - stock" and it is very sticky! Thinking about getting one for my dad. I do like it and would suggest adding it to any stock-stock as it is that nice. Your thoughts may be different but I like it!

Has anyone gotten their CTR inlet rokstok to feed yet? I’d like to know if I’m an idiot before I annoy Jake et al.

With the AtlasWorx bottom metal conversion from CTR to AICS, the rounds are presented substantially too low to be picked up. I then shaved down a t3 bottom plastic and those rounds from the factory plastic magazine were presented too low as well. I believe those inlet heights to action were designed to be identical, so I’m leaning towards an inlet issue - but please let me know if that’s not the case.

Best,
-J

Anyone had an update on their February orders?
I was order number 97 of 100 on one of mine and was informed it has arrived at UM. So Im guessing im close to a cerakote call and paint..... best guess 2 weeks to have it in my hands, based on the timeline of the first 3 stocks I ordered in Feb.

Sounds promising. I don't know which # out of 100 my Feb order was. Are you calling/emailing to get status updates?
Well my first 3 were in the first 10 ordered and came quickly. I called on this one as I am sending the others back to have LOP kits installed and asked if they would install a LOP on the fourth one before it ships. That's when they looked and told me it was in the shop.

Decisions.
All three will be tested and evaluated for what fits me best.

All have pros and cons at this point. Over the summer I’ll find the one I want to keep.

I have another RS that I shot this week and felt the LOP was short. I had a slip on recoil that added 1 “ and it made it more comfortable to shoot and easier to get in the eyebox.

Once UM has them in stock I will order one along with the Backfire recoil pad. The skinny LS is just to slim. The factory stock is the compact with the adult spacer and a limb saver recoil pad. I much prefer this LOP set up. Apparently my wife is correct. 1” can make a difference.View attachment 874156View attachment 874155View attachment 874157

I picked up 3 rokstocks, 2 with spacer kits and 1 with just the backfire pad, backfire pad comes out the exact same LOP as I have with spacers (dont recall if I was using 1 or 2) but overall works great. Kept the hard pad on my 233s and the backfire on my 6.5cm.

Finally got some real trigger time with them last weekend and very happy so far. I do find them a bit sensitive to action screw torque. One of mine shoots much better at 55 than 45 and the other much better at 45. Easy enough to test when first using and then paint pen and set it for good.

2 of my 3 are bare carbon which I regret. Will likely get them cerakoted or duracoted shortly or find someone who wants to trade. Base of OD Green or Brown with a tiger stripe pattern of carbon ripping through would look really good I think.

ROKSTOK UPDATE

Hey Roksliders,

I hope everyone is enjoying their Rokstoks in the field! We've had a huge amount of positive feedback on stock shootability the more they are out in the wild.

We have been working diligently with @Stockys and they have stepped up production to fill all of your orders in a timely manner.

On May 19th at 1600 HRS PST we will re open all Rokstok orders including railed Tikkas. We need to keep Stockys busy on these and they are currently running out of our orders to produce. What that means is almost every stock ordered is here at UM or on it's way to us causing a little backlog in our Cerakote dept.

Some changes to this drop will be more limited Cerakote options with easier communication. Basically no more bare carbon or single color, both of these options tend to highlight even the smallest imperfections and like almost every other stock manufacturer, are easily disguised with sponge patterns. Providing this info is to maintain transparency with our customer base and to show that we are continually learning throughout this process.

Each stock will include 1-3 color sponge pattern at no additional charge. You can select one of the pre-designed options by number from the product or you can specify up to 3 exact H-Series Cerakote colors in the box provided. You can also still request tears beneath your sponge pattern of you'd like.

You can still opt in for full pattern, but that will increase your lead time by several weeks.

After implementing our QC card process, we have drastically reduced the number of issues reaching the customer. We will continue to learn and adapt moving forward and make this stock purchase process the easiest we can for you.

Rokstok Lite is currently finished being digitally scanned and we should see some printed versions for approval very soon. Generally afterwards its about 6 weeks total for an etched mold to be produced and then we will start testing real stocks.

As always, thank you all for your continued support of our partners including Unknown Munitions, Stockys Stocks, Salmon River Solutions, Shoot2Hunt, Rokslide, and now Unknown Suppressors!

For those of you interested, the OG drops 6/2/25, be the first to experience our over the barrel hunting can.

I think there was some discussion of this in the Rokstock Lite thread, but at what level of recoil would you choose the Rokstock versus the Lite? Specifically I am thinking about for a suppressed 6.5PRC.
