RokStok

It's a 20" 6 creed. I have a Mcgowen and a Preferred barrel both 7.5 twist. Do you want me to send both barrels with the action, or just 1?🤣🤣
Just 1! Any interest in Idaho in about 1 week for spring black bear? I just got a text and the other guy backed out.. something about milk goats having an udder issue and he cannot leave them for the wife and girls. I understand but am now without a hunting partner. Wife doesn't want me to chase bear alone (my 1st time attempting bear.)

I would love to come out to Idaho, but my wife would probably kill me if I left her with two little ones on that short of notice.

How’s the balance with a d18 barrel and a can? Already have one with a shorty but wondering how front heavy it will be for a long range gun

Maybe I could make some steel spacers or something to add ass weight

I've got a 243 d18 at factory length of 22" with a scythe. The balance is garbage, but it's tolerable I guess. I should have cut it immediately, but now that I have 600ish rounds on it, I feel like it may not be worth it.

Factory 20” D18 barrel and a Nomad 30 is nose heavy. Useable for sure but not ideal.

I keep seeing the good things 22 creed does and it’s swaying me from 6 creed more and more
6CM is a cool cartridge, but my current 22CM load is 1,800 FPS out to 950 yards at 50 degrees and 5K elevation. That’s in a 20” hunting profile barrel not some monstrosity that sucks to carry and balance when shooting. It surpasses the “killing yardage” from my 20” 243 and my 18” 6CM.

Really no need for a 6mm other than the few states that have caliber minimum regs (that I’ve never once seen enforced or “checked” in 27 years of hunting across the west and Midwest). Or if you go with a super hot 6mm like a UM. Or ya know, if you want to shoot it, which is cool too 👍🏻

Have you fired any of those new 65gr Cx out of it?

Curious how fast those would go and how long they would stay over 2200 fps. Might be a good nonlead blacktail gun. Can't find any muzzle velocity data on Hornady's website.

Ditto on receiving the UM notification. Should be here this week.

I managed to shoot the one I bought from the classifieds and I can state it will take a minute to get used to. Felt different that is for sure.
