What are your thoughts regarding the high pressure points visible just in front of the recoil lug?
This could be an out of spec inletting. Not sure how it could suck down and be touching anywhere that close to the recoil lug like that. Never seen that.

I’d take my dremmel and relieve the area personally and then see how it does.

Factory sporter barrel on a 3b contour stock. PLENTY of space. When I tighten the front action screw the stock really sucks up or the action down with increased pressure compare to it floating sitting on the recoil lug prior to tightening.
The inlet on one of my stocks was out of spec, I sanded out some of the shank inlet and no more problems so far. Need to get more time on it though.

Personally, I would sand it, then shoot it. If it still didn't work like I wanted, I would bed it. Do that though, and any issues are on you.

The other option is contact UM, I'm not patient enough for that.
