So far the Rokstok/6.5 PRC has performed exactly as anticipated. The other day I shot some rocks @ 700+ and 1049 and it stays on target as expected. I was actually waiting for the impact in the scope, not hoping to see it like other stocks.
On the way to a long range ambush spot, I jumped a whitetail buck in the timber. I decided he was good enough and shot him off-hand at 50 feet. Off-hand felt just as natural as any traditional stock.
Overall the long range features while keeping the ability to shoot off-hand plus M5 bottom (Rem) is the perfect combination.
I've been waiting years for a stock like this. I was on the verge of just doing it myself when the Rok was announced.

Anyone have any idea when Rokstok will be available again?
S2H Podcast said back orders should be filled my end of January and they’d open it up again then. I guess we’ll see if they’ve finally figured out their production timeline.

Yes speculating based on experience and having an AA from Utah Technical College in Gunsmithing (76-78) where stock design was a pretty big subject. Formerly a gunsmith at SOTIC prior to adoption of the M24 (we built our own rifles based on VN era M40's acquired from a DCM warehouse). Formerly SOTIC NCOIC and more than 20 years Special Operations experience and many of those in sniper employment. But you are right, I am just speculating based I what I see.

Bags? I am not big carrying them around, not very practical for hunting. Slings are the way to go.
Holy shit. Is this take_a_knee from the fire ?

As another vet, thanks for your service, but also as a vet, slinging around a resume, particularly a very old one, is something to be laughed at and unworthy of respect. Particularly as you are using that experience to argue against reality and discouraged adaptation.

As a side, modern military snipers will use rear bags. Some things don't change, but others do, and 50 year old experience is just that. Hell, my experience is less that 15 years old, but I will freely admit it is dated.

Not a fan of your comment. Just disagree if you disagree. It’s unnecessarily disparaging imo.

And honestly, I think there is a conversation to be had about the advantage of a straight comb vs a negative comb, so long as comb height is above centerline.

I do agree with those that say this isn’t perhaps the best thread to discuss that.

Cheers.
