Rokstok Lite

I went to UM today, talked with them, and asked for any updates on the stocks I ordered back in March. They said Stockys has been sending them stocks, but it's been hit-or-miss what they receive. I haven't even received an "in process" email from Stocky's, so I wasn't surprised that UM didn't have any updates for me.

The UM crew was great and very apologetic, and I realize it's not their fault that Stocky's appears unable to deliver as promised. As a consumer, I choose to spend my money with solid, reputable companies, and I will continue to buy from UM, but I will never buy any products associated with Stockys again.

I haven’t received mine yet, but if I like it, it sucks to think it could take another 6 months to get a second one. I’ve got a lefty 223 hopefully arriving in October that I need a stock for.

Are there any realistic back up options for production if indeed the speculation of a deteriorating relationship between S2H and Stocky’s is true? I’d still like to try out one of these.

I ordered a wood lite. The cost is obviously different (though, having handled one, I know it will be worth it), but I expect the wait will be similar. I’d still like to order a carbon version whenever they do open up again.

My wood lite is at 369 days and counting.

I wonder how many customers would pay a couple hundo more for a rok stok that wasn't made by Stockys with a shorter lead time?

Shout out to Lane. Had a OG Stok crack on me second time shooting it. Form walked over and he's like hey man you know your stock is cracking? Got things worked out and Lane just ordered me a Lite ordered for a build im hoping to finish next summer.

I’d for sure be willing to pay more. I’ve not been impressed with Stockys throughout this process (and I’m sure UM hasn’t been either). My Rokstok took 7 months because they sent 2 stocks out that were delaminating. So this had to go back twice before an acceptable unit finally arrived.

I won’t be buying anything from Stockys in the future.

Yeah it's frustrating. My OG Rok I ordered like Jan 10 is finally getting here on Monday.
Seems Stockys is the weak link.

Where did it crack?

Did they replace the OG with a Lite?
Next summer?

Love my Rokstok and would like to get a few more and waiting a few months isn’t a big deal.
Looking at the option of a few McMillan mountain tracker lr.

I'm patiently waiting on the RS Lite. I say this not to take away from the Lite (or RS), but as options...

The Echelon CF for Tikka is worth consideration if you want a lightweight option. The Mt Tracker LR is an option if light isn't a focus. I think the RS and Lite have some better attributes in some areas but having the stock in hand is an all important attribute.

Again, I'm not taking away from the RS or Lite, I love my RS's and I'm looking forward to the Lite. Those mentioned are just some options.

If light isn’t a focus?

My RokStok Lite is 27 ounces with the sole addition of small pic rail out front for the bipod. My dad’s mountain tracker is 31 ounces with Arca ail, pic rail, longer LOP, and QD cups for a sling. Depending on how you kit out your RokStok Lite, it may be heavier..

MDT was selling blem CRBN stocks a couple weeks back for cheap. That’s probably the answer if you don’t wanna wait for a RokStok Lite.

That's true. I was referring to the options of the Echelon CF in comparison to the Mt Tracker LR on the weights.

On top of the pistol grip

Yep

Unsure of the the timeline so I'm making rash assumptions it'll be here next spring. Which is fine.

I'd ordered an OG in January. Was hoping I'd have it for s2h in June. Well in May a buddy sold me his Rokstok so I put my trainer in that.

So I've got an extra stok basically.

A 16-18" 22 creed in a lite would be slick! The build is coming along nicely, I've got two mags (I effed ordering from Rugged Stitching), a S2H scope and a Rok 22. Just need to get a barreled action.
