Rokstok Lite

it is dished to try it. it's not currently an option due to the process having a high probability for a catastrophe.

if I get a better way to hold the stock worked out, maybe in the future.

The grit alone is a HUGE improvement. The recess is only a marginall improvement. I find the groove isn't in the right place for every position. regardless of where the groove is located, it would never be in the right place 100% of the time.
I prefer just the grit for a more universal grip.
I do appreciate you playing with new techniques just to see if there is an improvement to be made. A simple strip of grip tape 100% works better than a slick stock….

Got my roll of 80 grit skate tape. Added two strips to the forend on my rifles. Made a huge difference. I'll do the butt stock tonight.

My Lite arrived a few days ago. It’s absolutely everything I hoped it would be.
It has the 1” recoil pad and the integrated Arca.

I mounted up the Tikka 223 in it.
Specs:

UM Tikka Action
PVA 16” 1/7 .100 fb 223 REM
KRG Midas trigger
High Desert Bottom Metal
@pods8 (Rugged Stitching) 4 rd magazine
Airlock Nano w/ LS Wild Proto Cover
UM Low Tikka Rings
NF NXS 2.5-10x32 mil scope

Weight 7.5 lbs.
The balance point set up this way is right at the front of the magazine, behind the front action screw.

Shooting: Even though I have my HNT 26 set up with raised butt pad and negative comb cheek riser, this is the flattest shooting stock I’ve ever used. I definitely prefer the lite to the regular Rokstok, which feels too bulky and too high of a comb for my preference.

Shooting 88 TMK’s at 2700 fps still has a bit of recoil, but spotting impacts is incredibly easy, even during the 100 yard zero.
The stock feel dead under recoil, as opposed to “tingy” with the HNT 26.
The Arca is solid. Being able to shoot a zero with the bipod and Garmin Xero attached was really nice. Shooting from a tripod is no different than with the HNT 26 as far as I can tell.

Thank you @Lane Avery for the work you’ve been doing with the Lites and also @Unknown Munitions for making this stock a reality.

It’s a new prototype. It’s slightly too long and wide, so it can slide back off of the suppressor towards the barrel pretty easy. It weighs .3 oz and is very effective. I fired a 10 round string and had no mirage issues

Sounds promising! Looking forward to it being available for purchase. Nice looking setup.

Slick set up. How do you feel about hand carrying the rifle with the arca? I really like the lite in the way it rests in my hand when carrying it without the arca. I felt like that might change the dynamic a bit.
