Rokstok Lite

My RokStok Lite is 27.1 to 27.2 ounces depending on what scale I use. This is the base/starting model with the sole addition of an SRS Mini Pic Rail (which SRS advertises as 0.4 ounces).

On a stand alone basis, I’m not worried about 3-4 ounces.. I do get slightly annoyed though when marketing doesn’t match the reality. The weight of the base/starting weight is listed as “approx 23 ounces” on their website. Mine is 16.5% heavier than that (and after subtracting out the weight of the SRS rail).

Seems like the layup could vary enough to make a couple oz difference from one to the next. If having a good solid forearm means a little weight, that's fine with me. I need to lose 10# myself.

Agree, I could care less about 3 - 4 ounces, but do think it’d be in UM’s best interest to update their product description here. Otherwise very happy with the stock itself and applaud UM for bringing to the market.

27.9 oz here. Maybe a slight weight discrepancy with lite contour (less barrel channel removal) and added tri-color sponge paint job?

Pictured with T3X SS Lite contour, chopped to 16.5"
Raptor 6 + 3" reflex

Standard .5" removable pad with plastic spacer.

So stoked to get an optic on it and get to the range.

Hard to fault the paint as a driver behind UM’s weight discrepancy when it’s nothing more than the base three sponge paint job standard on their starting offering.

I am a big fan of my RokStok Lite, and could care less that it weighs more than expected, but they do need to market the accurate weight of the stock as they ship them.

That’s a pretty significant discrepancy, even with a smaller barrel channel. To be fair, the starting weight is listed at approximately 23 oz, which I presume is the sendero channel with no rail or sling attachments:

Both @Ryan Avery and @Unknown Munitions have griped on the S2H podcast about gear manufacturers not listing accurate product weights, so this might not be on their radar.

Probably just someone getting a little too heavy-handed at Stocky’s, but 27.9 oz is getting darn close to the OG Rokstok starting weight of 29 oz.

That’s the issue. The sling attachment, recoil lug, and three sponge paint all come standard as part of the starting base/model. They aren’t add ons or options, and their weight should be included in UM’s marketing.

Considering the recoil lug weighs 0.7 oz and regular sling studs a few grams each, that’s some heavy-ass sponge paint.
