Rokstok Lite

Maybe I’m not being clear. If the carbon RS Lites are going to be 13.5”, I understand that because you’re catering to what consumers will buy.

I’m asking about your wooden RS Lite in the pic above. Is that 13.5”? I thought you could specify LOP when ordering from Alpine.

You can. That stock was the one initially made that was used for the scan for the carbon stocks- it wasn’t made for me.

Not to be a dick…. But why wouldn’t you do it like all your other rifles?

I am planning on getting it like all my other rifles. I know Form shoots similarly long LOPs as me, so I figured his RS Lite would look like the one I’m thinking of ordering. Glad I asked, because it’s not (it’s 13.5”). So now I’m asking, if he had one built just for him, would he go longer (14.25-14.5”)? That would give him an opportunity to tell me if there is something about the RS Lite that makes a different LOP than your standard desirable.

If I’m dropping $2k on a stock, it seems prudent to take a few minutes to think about the dimensions and check all my assumptions before pressing ahead.

Make sense?

Its the only reason I havnt placed my order yet is I cant make up my mind on lop.

I run my regular rokstocks at 14 which seems good but Ive got one set up with 14.25 and cant make up my mind. I dont really want plastic spacers in a stock I am paying $2250 for.

Was considering asking him to make it 14 with the .6 pad but selling me a 1 inch pad also ground to fit in case I change my mind.

Personally, I’d get it at 14.5” with a 1” Pachmyer pad. Then you could go from 13.75 to 14.5” with just a pad swap.

Easy peasy. As I suggest for @Anteras above- 14.5” with a 1” Pachmyer pad, then with just swapping pads you can go down to 13.75”.

For some asking here, in the podcast this week Jake said the first run they would target 150 pieces, pre-sale goes live online and onsite on Friday of the Western hunt expo.

Dont the decelerators come in either half or one inch so only .5 of adjustment? Or you mean just change to a totally different pad?
