I agree, the weight isn't nearly as exciting as the initial quotes. I understand that some compromises have to be made, and it's only a 600$ stock vs some of the higher end options, but not sure if I will grab one or not. If it was still 20oz and didn't need spacers it would be an insta-buy. At 24oz plus spacers (25-26oz) it's lightweight but not really UL.

The stainless steel winter trigger guard from PR Precision is so choice. Looks great and slightly more functional.

Still you’re 8 ounces less than a regular Rokstok however you set it up.

If you need more weight savings and a rather similar stock, the echelon stock manages that. Costs a good bit more though.

These look good. I think im sticking with the regular though. My rifles are right at 8.5#. I dont think I want them lighter. Maybe on the 223 eventually

Doesn't seem necessary until it's gets snow or ice on it. it's just a nice additional bit of control.

Factory bottom plastic and 6PRC magazine was 3oz exact on my scale. Pretty darn light in my opinion.

I've not handled the PR Precision, but love my Lumley Arctic trigger guards. I even have one on my T1X. They are hard to find in stock though.

It’s not really a price thing- it’s a design and strength thing. Yes, there are 19oz stocks. They suck in design for actual shooting, snd they are a smack on a sharp rock away from getting a hole punched in them.

People making things for an arbitrary weight goal is not what the ROKStok are. They are designed for a purpose, and the weight is what it must be.

I mistyped earlier and it should have said 6.5prc magazine. But the combo you wrote should have worked. And I would assume the 6.5prc should also work, depending on how you load the 6prc (I don’t have one so this is just speculation).

8 oz is a significant savings. Think of it as adding a suppressor that weights nothing to your currently unsuppressed rifle (using UM OG Six-Five for reference).

I've spent a fair amount of time behind the Rokstock and Echelon. There are +/-'s on each design but both work very well for me. I've lost a lot of paint on one of the Echelons that's been hunted hard the last couple of years, but I've yet to see it falter or any sign it's less durable than the Rokstok.

I hear a lot of stock manufacturers say this, and yet how they design and construct their composites stocks indicate otherwise.

Is the rokstock a sandwich structured composite?
