Rokstok Lite

I’ll be ordering a wood Rokstok Lite this fall - assume with a sporter inlet I can still do a rail up front and a QD cup on the left side?

I’m guessing there will be enough initial interest in this that it will take a bunch of jumping through hoops to actually get one in hand. If I can go order one when the mood strikes, I’ll probably buy at least 1.

After your informal class have you decided to switch from the hnt26 chassis? I would greatly appreciate any thoughts you have after taking the class, although this may not be the thread for that.
I’m definitely more competent using trekking poles where I would have had to have used a tripod in the past. However, there are times when a tripod, for me, is the best option. Also the folding stock is very useful for bushwhacking or putting inside a packraft.

The Rokstok Lite will be considerably lighter than the HNT 26, and coupled with the fact that I’ll go 16” bbl next time and be using an OG 6.5, will most likely make it my primary mountain gun for lightweight trips.

Im getting more and more interested in this. I like my regular rokstock but especially for my 223 with that and the rs 1.2 it just seems to bulky for what it is. Might need to move that set up to another tikka and get one of these and a fixed 6 for the little guy.

I hope it will be considerably lighter. The Rokstok came in a lot heavier than I anticipated. The HNT26 w/ a 3rd round Creedmoor mag is 30.5oz. The Rokstok with a factory mag, front and mid arca to make it comparable to the HNT26 is 38.5oz.

So, they need to shave half a pound off of the stock itself to make it weigh the same as the HNT26. That's a lot of material that I'm not sure can come off.

Can you send a pic? I'm working on this same setup and wondered if the RS1.2 might feel too bulky for a trainer.

My daughters peak 44 bastion came in at 22oz out of box , I bet the Rokstock light will be close to that

That is out of box: stock, pad, two front studs
So that would be about 25.9oz. But that's without any arca rail, without flush cups, without the ability to fold, and without any cheek height adjustment. For less than 5 more ounces, that's a lot of added functionality in the HNT26.
