As much as I love my HNT 26.. it kinda feels like a chunky beast compared to the svelte wood Rokstok Lite. With a 16” bbl and an OG, it really isn’t much longer than a folded HNT with an 18” & Scythe.

Whenever I've shot off of my pack or QuickStix, I almost always have them at the balance point of the rifle. I don't think I've ever shot off of them as a front rest only.

I've been shooting a good bit with my ULUL AR15 that only has a 7.5" handguard. I've had no problem resting that on any support.

We are also shorter-statured shooters, so we aren't running our bipods at the max distance anyways.

While resting the rifle on the balance point is good for free recoil, heavy rifles and a few other scenarios, you lose the benefit of a longer fulcrum which makes the rifle more wobbly so to speak. If using a rear support such as a pack frame you will have a much smaller wobble zone if you utilize a front rest as far away from the rear steering as possible.
