Looking to put together a Tikka .223 package. Is the T3X Lite SS 1:8” the correct starting point? (SKU JRTXB312) or is there a 1:7” version somewhere? Goal would be 88 ELDM’s or 77TMK’s.

Would also be looking at chopping it at around 18 inches and threading for suppressor. Is there enough meat there for 5/8” threading or is this a 1/2” threading proposition? Looking at the Scythe Ti direct thread and would like to keep it 5/8” so I can move it around to other rifles. My hunch is I need to thread this one 1/2” and use an 5/8” threading adapter (or get a 1/2” direct thread plate for the Scythe?)

These rifles are $799 at Europtic right now. Anyone know of a better source currently?

Also, what mounts/rings should I be looking at? Scope will be SWFA 6X, 3–9 X, or 3–15 GEN2. All 42mm.

Probably won’t mess with the stock or trigger until down the road a ways.

Thanks

Precision armament makes adapters 1/2-24 and 9/16-24 to 5/8-24.
Depending on how much meat you prefer to have where.

There is Currently one in the classifieds in a Rokstock and comes with a Maven scope (seems expensive IMO) if you didn't want to deal with building one. UM tikka rings would be my choice.

I haven’t seen one. But I’m a Tikka noob and don’t want to buy the wrong one. I know 88’s like more twist so I figured I’d ask.

8 twist will work fine for the 88's and 77's.
I just got the threaded 16" Tikka w/wood stock. They are $899 at Euro. It's a good deal if you can do a 16" barrel.
No chopping or threading expense.
I took the wood stock off (selling it) and put a plastic Tikka stock on, until I can get another Rokstok.

I have used the adapters without trouble an many rifles. I have a Sythe-ti on this one.
