Well I have had the same happen with USPS.
The guy picked up at post office as the clerk handed it to him with a sticker on it saying open box.
The said it was delivered even though it got opened in route.
They had the beginning and end weight.
Said it showed scanned as picked up and they denied my automatic 100 Innsurance.
They are crooks!

Sold a tent and 2 poles to another WKR with good feedback... Had an amazon box at my house that was just the right size so I put the tent and the two poles in it and taped it shut.

UPS picked it up Monday.. It went to Des Moines, then Lenexa, KS, then St. Louis, where the box was handed to the buyer (recorded by his ring camera). The buyer opened the box and the only thing in there was 1 pole and some crumpled up packing paper (which I didn't put in the box). I also noticed from his pictures that there was way more tape on the box than my original tape job..

I have no reason to believe the buyer is lying or doing anything shady. He paid me with F&F.

Anyone ever have anything like this happen??

Yep. From 2013 to 2022, I had so many problems with the mail. I have cameras. I had the same thing happen multiple times. I had way more packages show delivered with tracking that would never show up.

This went on for a longtime. I finally list my cool after all those happenings and told the post master that the mailman himself was stealing the stuff. He wouldn’t discuss that possibility. I told him he’d better figure something out as I had enough evidence that somebody was going to do something different. 3 days later we got a new postal worker.

While I’ve had a few things lost in the mail, nothing like the packages that were opened or never showed up has been an issue since.

I like the woman who runs during the week now. She’s a good employee and a good person. The weekend guy is a bowhunter. So, we really get a long. A lot of times I open the packages while he is busy petting my dog.
