I haven’t followed it much, but until someone unseats RedBull and Verstap., it’s theirs to win or loose.

Well, F1 nerds... what do we make of the 2026 cars? A lot of ferarri hopium out there....

I expect a very disappointing year. The new regs seem slow and overly reliant on waiting around to charge for a brief surge of energy.
I want to see more passing in the turns, aggression, speed....this seems like it will be a lot of pack driving and then hoping you have enough battery power to pass on the straights.

Also I think the Ferrrari hopium is going to be for naught, they will screw it up like always

It seems like strategy will be a huge component of success for teams this year with the recharging variable magnified.

But if Mclaren had a number 2, not two number 1's, they wouldn't have split points and it wouldn't have been close. Can't play that game.

I fully expect Lewis to retire and try to be an actor, or actors boy toy, once he realizes he isn't winning it all this year. He hasn't been fun to watch in a long while too focused on politics

He is so proud that he added actor and producer to his list of accomplishments for his "work" on the F1 Movie so I suspect your right on.

Sounds like red bull should do better in their driver scouting/development. Team sport and mclaren was the better team.

I enjoyed the race.
Fun to see alot of DNFs. The solo wrecks are painful.
I'm pleased to see that the new cars are re-equalizing the field. There was a few young drivers in the points.
Lindblad looks good. I hope helmut can keep his dirty hands off him and not try to promote him to the gallows.

Always crazy to see so many veteran drivers with DNFs on the first race of the season. interested to see what happens with Mercedes engines

As far as I know. Yes.
You cant sign up for new memberships for F1 TV but it was more expensive than apple anyways.

Thought the entire thing was more like watching a formula E. Too much paying attention to battery charge and then running out of power vs actual racing.

The gap from Merc to the rest of the field is nuts (Ferrari notwithstanding as they never seem to be able to pull a strategy out even with a fast car)

If AM can figure out their issue with the engine and vibration I think they have a decent car on their hands

Fun first race. It was like you could watch the guys learn new racecraft during the race. Things evened out after some laps.

The mercs are fast but that gap will close. I think it will be a fun year. I like seeing the cars closer together vs "get within drs, pass on straight."
