Well just playing devils advocate here, but if they truly are NEW to the game like you say, one would think they would have plenty of questions to ask if they are just getting started? an engaging post could be just that, someone asking "What caliber for mule deer?" "What ammo for elk?" etc. "What is a quality firearm to buy?" "How do i scout for elk?" "What are these rubs on a tree and what do they mean?"

I could see someone brand new to hunting actually being MORE engaging on the forum than someone with 30 years experience in a way if you look at it like this.

They might be more engaging if they weren't so intimidated by some of the replies. Have you seen some of the replies from the "experienced" members with higher counts? Such as do a search for that topic , it's been beat to death and here is another favorite when asked about recommendations on gear " I recommend brand XYZ because I have been using it for years". No explanation as to why they recommend it. And they don't have have to be new to the game they could be new to the species or a style of hunting. Such as an old white tail hunter making his way west for his first mule deer hunt.

I for one would hate to see the forum go down the path of " pay to play" like hunting seems to be going.

Im so glad I wasnt the only one wondering this. I found someone selling a release and im like damn thats a deal but I cant message him so im fighting to hurry and get my 10

I’m a newbie here. I wanted to buy a Hill People Gear pack here and didn’t realize the post number restriction.
 
So I guess I need 10 posts on the forum before I can comment on the classified section to make a purchase?

Would you mind helping a brother out with this? Do I go to the Contribute tab and when I contribute $50 I can access the Classified? Or is there another way?
Sorry for the newbie question.
