A long time ago I bought a VX6 1-6. Haven't tried drop testing it but since it's Leupold I don't fully trust it. I have it on my 12.5 gasser.

I'd like to upgrade it to something on the approved list without breaking the bank. Want a min of 6x and FFP. 8-10x would be tatas.

Basically want the gun for home D then I can still take it out and shoot deer inside 300 and do some longer target work.

I'm guessing Trijicon is the answer and just pay for the quality.

Browsed through the list and didn't really see anything that stood out.

I see zero tech has some but not their entire line is Form approved.

Any suggestions

there was a sightron that did well I have one and will update in the morning. Sitting in the recliner and don’t feel like walking out to the shop

I asked Form this about a year or so ago, he recommended the NF NX8 1-8.

I was looking at this one the other day https://zerotechoptics.com/product/1-10x28-lpvo-rmg-l-illuminated-fde/

I'm 84% certain I saw this in one of Form's pictures and had tape over the branding. At the time I thought that sure does look like a vortex razor and wondered if he was running one through some testing.
When I saw that zero tech lpvo I started to wonder if that was actually what he had.
I've been looking for about 10mins for the dang picture haha.

I'll bug him later

If you have a vortex razor 1-6 that holds zero, it’s hard to beat.

If you have the coin, an atacr 1-8.

I currently only own the atacr 1-8, but it pains me to spend that much on a scope.

I’m sure the nx6 is a good option

Related to this, the NX6 1-6 just came out. I imagine it'd be like the NX8 1-8 but with a better eyebox and some other stuff.

yeah, it's longer, plus longer eye relief, so it's gonna fit easier on more stuff than the nx8 (less compromises), and likely will be easier to get behind, appears same illum controls and .2/click turret from nx8 also, like an nx8 1-8 'improved', in many of the right ways, prolly won't miss the extra 2x up top...nx6 should also make excellent DG scope with that eye relief and added length

I probably wouldn't buy an nx8 now that the nx6 is available, see more upsides in the nx6 version, looking forward to reports to confirm all is well and as expected with them. my nx8 will always find something to sit on here though, still like it a lot more than a ton of other things I've had for hunting
