I thought about this one a lot... Just wanna give guys some hope, especially the non-residents on this site.

Robby, how many tags do you think end up being purchased and never hunted? Have any intuition on that?

I'll take a stab at 10%.

I base that on the controlled hunts that are unclaimed every year in Idaho. They're lower than that but if you factor in the easy to get, or OTC tags, those unused more often. Not many people too excited about tags like that, but in this new era, we should be!

I know a lady who drew one of the best deer tags in Idaho TWICE over the course of a few years. She picked up the tag both times and didn't hunt both times because she said she didn't have time for it.
