Is it me that finds the What’s New forum almost unreadable with all of the posters advertising gear for sale.

Yes, it is just you. Please do not remove the for sale thread from the what's new tab again. I like being able to glance what's available without having to scroll through those entire sub forums. If anything skip the initial page where you have to click view more just to have to scroll through the same posts you just saw.

I suspect many users simply begin on the "New Posts" page. If that's you, and you prefer to only see certain things, or not see certain things, use the filter. It's really simple

1. New Posts
2. Filters
3. Check "Only selected nodes" and select which ones you want displayed by default.
4. Check "Save as default".
5. Click "Filter".

Whenever you log in and go to the New Posts page, your filter(s) are applied (you know this because the "Show only: Selected nodes" is displayed) and you only see what you chose.
