Rock climbing style harness

So, I ordered the XOP and decided I'll be returning mine. The harness is decent and I liked the linesman's loops, but I really dislike their choice of buckle on the waist belt. Felt like a massive step down in quality/function compared to the Black Diamond I've been using.

I use a climbing harness. Though thats partly because I was wearing one climbing at least 3-4 days a week from the time I was about 10 until I was 15 at which time I used on nearly 7 days a week for the next 5-6 years before my shoulders both got too messed up to climb obsessively.

Never loved all the metal on the KillDeer. It's also very spendy for a treestand rock harness.

I've been using a rock harness since the late 00s and never felt a huge need for built-in lineman's loops, though they are nice to have. If I absolutely had to minimize my gear, I'd go for them, but I don't.

There used to be a lot of time and energy spent on forums and youtube showing how to install your own. Don't know if that's still a thing.

It's nice to see at least a couple of off-the-shelf options now though, because back in the day you were SOL for that as the move to rock harnesses began.

Id look into a Dryad KillDeer or the XOPA holiday. The linesman loops are a great addition.

Another option would be a tree saddle which is my preferred method. ANYTHING over a full body harness
Is the Killdeer worth the premium over the Holiday?

as a few others have mentioned, saddles don’t have to be used exclusively for saddle hunting. I primarily saddle hunt on public land, but when I’m hunting on my property in preset tree stands, I still use my saddle instead of a harness
