Road kill

Was heading up for a cow elk hunt and came across an older couple by the highway, they had hit a bighorn ram.
Nice 9 yr old ram it looked like, the Ford Escape was not so nice after the hit- head on.
Called the GW and let the guys at Sybille know about it so they could get the sheep from beside the highway.
Spouse volunteered to boil out the skull if they want it for display.
Couple was fine but pretty shook up.
Pretty sure he was one of 3 we saw the weekend before right beside the highway.

Asked the GW when the wildlife warning signs were going back up, she said needs to be asap. It's that time of the year, sheep rut and sheep all over and beside the highway.

here in michigan you have to call them in to keep em, you need a salvage tag.

Yeah, its that time of the year. I have seen 4 deer carcasses in town on Main St in the last 2 weeks. Almost watched another get hit but he got lucky.

I've salvaged a lot of moose that have been hit along the roadways. They are not wasted and used be a local folks
