I’ve made 4 trips to the range using rl16. After shooting I’ve been using wipeout. I started seeing what looked like black paint specs on the patches. So I decided to clean it with the copper brush. I’ve Been cleaning it for two days and still getting dark black patches. If I try wipeout or a nylon brush I get a clean patch. Only the copper brush gets this stuff out. I’m using Montana extreme bore solvent. Any advice. Thanks

You're scraping carbon fouling out of the barrel. There are quite a few people (including me) that will say that you're overdoing it. That fouling fills imperfections in the rifling and a perfectly clean barrel may produce fliers though that can be considered anecdotal so YMMV. I only clean when accuracy starts to fall off or if I get moisture down the barrel.

Probably not an issue with the powder.
