I need a new rifle sling (I've searched the forums on this topic without success). It will be used on my shoulder/hiking; not attached to a backpack. I have liked ones with some neoprene and rubber (or other material) for shoulder grip. Any suggestion on what you have found, that you like, would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Another vote for the claw. I like them.

Also, a bit of a different thing but I really like the old school GI cotton slings from cmp. They are cheap but very functional. Hit it with scotch guard or wax and get after it.

I have one called the ultimate gun sling that has some perks. Its all rubber and holds my guns well. Its also long and stretchy enough to basically carry your gun like a packpack if you want. I also like the claw.

I like either a cotton web USGI sling for swivels, or Vickers sling with QD cups. Can use a hasty sling technique with either type.

The claw will suit you. I’ve got two. I also like the grip. Lay it on my backpack shoulder strap and it generally stays put.
