I second this. A true and actual Zero at 100 yards. Then, when you head out and start hunting, dial up 2 MOA. That'll allow you to "hold fur" to somewhere around 250-300-ish on most cartridges. Then you can just dial back down to your zero point when checking zero, rather than just shooting and hoping you're "exactly" some arbitrary inch measurement high at 100 yards.I wouldn’t recommend this; but rather have a proper 100 yard zero (confirmed with 10-20 shot group) then set your elevation reticle to PBR for your specific cartridge/density altitude.
