Kahles 328i or really any higher end Kahles would be interesting. They've got the freakish FOV of the 328i and will be releasing another scope with freakish FOV after shot show. Rumors indicate it's higher magnification.
I'd love Nothing more than for a kahles to pass but from what I've seen, even when they are treated nicely they don't hold up.

BUT that wasn't the 328i, time will tell.

They're releasing a 5-40x56 this SHOT Show. I guess they want to be like March for some reason with that 8x erector ratio. I really wish companies would stop doing that.

There's a podcast interview with Jeff Huber (ex Nightforce, then set up ZCO) where he said something along the lines that 5x erector ratios are fine, and 6x can start introducing issues ... he wasn't a fan of 8x at all. Not sure of the source; might have either been Frank's podcast or Tier 1.

The higher the erector ratio, the harder it is to make a scope that has a forgiving eyebox. Smaller tube diameters exaggerate it even more.

Jeff's assessment on the podcast was about other issues, primarily reliability.
