Rifle scopes you'd love to see Form test

Kahles 328i or really any higher end Kahles would be interesting. They've got the freakish FOV of the 328i and will be releasing another scope with freakish FOV after shot show. Rumors indicate it's higher magnification.
I'd love Nothing more than for a kahles to pass but from what I've seen, even when they are treated nicely they don't hold up.

BUT that wasn't the 328i, time will tell.

They're releasing a 5-40x56 this SHOT Show. I guess they want to be like March for some reason with that 8x erector ratio. I really wish companies would stop doing that.
There's a podcast interview with Jeff Huber (ex Nightforce, then set up ZCO) where he said something along the lines that 5x erector ratios are fine, and 6x can start introducing issues ... he wasn't a fan of 8x at all. Not sure of the source; might have either been Frank's podcast or Tier 1.

The higher the erector ratio, the harder it is to make a scope that has a forgiving eyebox. Smaller tube diameters exaggerate it even more.

Considering a zco won't pass either...
And this is where we need to bring careful nuance of two things - first, a ZCO *didn't* pass, which is not the same as "won't pass". Form has made some extensive posts that help with both probability and statistics on that.

Second, Jeff's assessment about 8x erector ratios introducing reliability issues is not discredited by the fact that some 5x erectors - even if on a scope that his company designed - can also have issues.

Wonder if the vx6 gen 2 is any better? Interested in this getting tested

VX6 Gen2 with Mil Turrets and a TMR Firedot would be a sweet scope, but unfortunately will never happen.

FFP would be nice but even less likely to happen.

Not really, simple logic is that of the simple thing won’t pass then the more complicated thing has a much lower chance all things being equal.

How about a S&B Ultrashort 3-20x50. I want to know if a 5k-6k scope does better.
They don't.......my tangent 7-35 fell over, zero shifted. 23# rifle tho, considerably more force/energy than a 10# rifle falling 36" onto padding.

I think you might have misread or misunderstood my post ... Jeff is effectively saying what you wrote. :)
