I know a few of yous guys must've been through this.....
I just picked up a little TW200 to help me get to some hunting spots that my feet are too crip'd up to access. I could've gone with a 4-wheeler, but the bike is going to give me a lot more use & fun in the off season too.
I'm trying to figure out the best way to carry a rifle (Tikka with a scope, for universality's sake). The Kolpin setups just look bloody awful. Do they really have to be mounted 11 feet in the air, or can they be streamlined along side the bike a little better? My only other thought was something mounted vertically to the front forks (i can also pretend it's a Tommy gun & I'm a WW2 dispatch rider 😉)

What have y'all done & found works best?

Use your preferred search engine for "rifle mount to bicycle" and look at the images.

Some creative folks out there.

A leather scabbard would be cool.
Either mounted to the bike or across your back
like 'Smalls" in Raising Arizona.

I did this, but I recommend you don't mount the rifle to the bike. Carry it strapped to your backpack so that there's "more" between the ground and your scope.
I used this on a low importance squirrel blasting trip and found that the scope would un-zero itself by about a foot in a 1/2 mile of riding rough roads slowly. Took it off and carried the rifle on my backpack for the high importance elk hunt later on.
If you have one of the Rokslide approved dropable scopes it might not matter, but maybe it will.
