Thanks Justin! I still can't believe a semi auto platform can shoot as accurately as that VTAC does. Makes me want to try one of their bolt actions. Maybe a lightweight mountain rifle should be my next project...

I've been wanting one of their AR's for a long time. Great write up.

I have a chance to pick one of these up for a good price. Anyone have any more input on if this is a solid platform. Plinking, coyotes, the next “pandemic”...

Holy thread revival lol…but I bought one of these V-TACS years ago largely based on Tony’s review. Honestly it got zeroed and put in the safe waiting for a coyote hunting trip that never happened. A few months ago I came across the infamous “.223” thread and now I have fallen deeply into the RSS rabbit hole lol.
I have a couple of TIKKA bolt guns now and a pile of 69-77 gr .223/.556 ammo for practice and hunting.
I also have .223 Steyr SCOUT and a Winchester 1885 low wall in .223…
As I was choosing ammo for a range day with them the thought crossed my mind…that V-TAC has a .223 WYLDE chamber and 1/8 twist barrel. So it should handle those heavy .556 rounds?
Long story short…that V-TAC is shooting smaller groups than any of my bolt guns…including the holy grail TIKKA!!
So my question…does the V-TAC have an adjustable TRIGGERTECH trigger?
Mine feels much too heavy, clean break but too heavy. I have managed to shoot some VERY small groups…but that’s in spite of, not because of, the trigger pull.
So, can I adjust it myself? I have very little experience in this area but I’m relatively handy around firearms. Or gunsmith?
Finally, just for fun I’m considering a thread proclaiming the V-TAC as a better mousetrap. The new RSS????😎
