Ok great. Thanks
Indeed a high R-value'd pad greatly helps with temp regulation and keeping you warm.
Sleeping bags only work when the insulation has loft. When your laying in your sleeping bag, your body weight is compressing the insulation underneath you thus that area of insulation is not very efficient or effective. Thus with a quilt you do away with that extra non efficient weight and rely on your pad to insulate you from the cold ground.

Not 100% sure but I want to say I've read that a 2.5-3.5 R-value will get you down to freezing. I would guess your neoair would work fine into the end of September but only you can be the judge of that.
Hopefully someone else with a little more education will chime in here.

:thumbsup:the foot box and snaps are also a really nice design. again giving a lot of flexibility on configurations. when zipped up and all three snaps done up your legs are fully wrapped but theres still plenty of room to move around. I wear a size 13 and have some pretty long legs at 6'5" and I fit in this thing with a ton of room to spare, could easily pull it up over my eyes before I felt any stretch on my feet.
Well got the quilt ordered rev x 20 5'6" reg width. Weight should be around 21.75oz got black inside and olive brown outside.
