Thank you guys for doing this. The ZG is impressive. I’m nitpicking but I really wish it was coated. I know it’s only aesthetic but I want a black can. Black looks good with whatever you have for a barrel.
Stove paint is a good idea. I didn’t think of that. Then pay to have it coated or hit it with some stove pipe paint. Easily solved
My cans are coated and you rarely see them because they almost all wear some type of cover. Sounds like the ZG it is almost a requirement with how fast they heat up.
How did the TI XC do in this regard? I've never seen mirage with mine yet, shooting a 243 and 6CM.If your doing a range session, yes you want a cover. For hunting use of 1,2 or even 3 shots no. Same for US reaper, which heated up almost at the same pace as the ZG.
Just ordered one after seeing your post. Exactly what I haven’t been looking forWith the LS covers, they just live on my cans now. Less than ounce.
Do you get POI shift with a cover vs without? If your doing a range session, yes you want a cover. For hunting use of 1,2 or even 3 shots no. Same for US reaper, which heated up almost at the same pace as the ZG.
I used Rustoleum flat black paint for BBQs from a rattle can. I followed the instructions to bake the painted suppressor in the oven. I’ve been surprised how durable the finish is on my ddc LTi but it will scratch off when, for example, scraped by a wrench.Stove paint is a good idea. I didn’t think of that.
I’m 100% in this camp. I want to be able to hear future grandkids.Yea I’ll take Maximum suppressor for a few ounces more. But everyone is different
Seams like it should top them all. This doesn't surpsie me, the airlock has some magic going on in the baffle design. If they ever make a full 7" x 1.8" can, it's going to better 95% the 9"+ supressors on the market.
