I’m looking to do a spring bear hunt in Manitoba or Alberta in 2027. Have never hunted bear in canada but have been on 6 bear hunts in the states. I’m looking for recommendations on reputable outfitters in Manitoba or Alberta with high bear numbers and opportunity. I will be using a bow if that helps.

Misty River Outfitters in Alberta. Great people, lots of bears, good food, and amazing pike fishing if you are at the fly-in lodge.

Can’t go wrong with Mikes, or East to West outfitters. Both have threads on bowsite, we have been with ETW 2 times and will be back there in 2027.

What is "ETW"? I am looking for a "reasonably"- priced black bear hunt, with a better than average chance at a color phase bear in the spring of 2027. $5000 would prob ably be my maximum. Size isn't a huge deal to me. I have never bear hunted before, but it is on my bucket list of many hunts. As a high school teacher, a spring bear hunt would be an option for me at this time. I do retire in the spring of 2028 and then the real fun can begin out west. Been hunting whitetails and turkeys a long time, but I need to get out west to hunt virtually everything else on my list.

We used Bear Track Outfitters out of Manitoba and had a great trip. Everyone in our group had a shot opportunity. Guides work hard and are a fun hang. Feel free to PM me more more info.

The message below yours was right ETW was East to West. Gerard runs a great camp and him and his guides work their butts off to make sure everything is as good as it can be. It’s not the cheapest hunt, but I’ll be back in spring of 27 for my third hunt with them (if that says anything)
