Replacement Pole for One Pole Canvas Tent

I have a unique one pole tee pee style tent. It’s 16x16 made from sun forger canvas with two oval doors and two screened windows. It’s quite heavy. I’ve been using a hand scraped cedar pole for twenty plus years which works great, However its13 foot in legnth. I’m looking for something more portable to fit in my truck. Thinking of sections black pipe that would breakdown. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this type of setup?

they make an extendable fiberglass pole that can be adjustable to snug up tight to roof. I use one in my wall tent as a center brace pole incase of heavy snow. Many sizes to pick from.

They are comparable to the extendable painters poles.

1 3/8" chain link top rail, with some plastic pipe end caps.
