Replacement mags for Rem 760

I just picked up an older '65 30-06 and want to get a backup magazine or two for it. Based on what I've seen the 7600 mags are compatible but the original all steel 760 ones work better. Can anyone offer any firsthand experience either way?

I have several of the 760 rifles from early to mid 70's . Yes if you can pick up some of the regular steel mags used they will work best most of the time. For whatever reason I have a few of the 7600 mags and only a couple of them will work without any problems in a few of my 760
