Removing the objective lens covers on Swaro EL's?

I am considering trying the 12x50 EL's and was in Cabela's this weekend and noticed that it looks like the objective lens covers on the EL's are attached permanently?.

I do not like to run covers, so would like to remove them. I would likely want to cut them off if I had to, but that would probably hurt me on resell value if I ever wanted to get rid of them. The guy at the optics counter told me they were not removable so I didn't try to pull them off, but wanted to yank on those things in a bad way!

Should have googled first...found my answer. Yes they are removable and Swaro includes a little cap to put over the "gap" in the armoring that occurs when you pull them off.
