I have a business logo I would like to put on my truck. I would really prefer to have a magnet that I could remove but I have an aluminum body truck. I have looked online quite a bit but have not found a good solution. Anybody found something that works well to put a removable decal on aluminum?

Not a lawyer, but for liability issues I wouldn't put a company logo on anything that isn't legally owned by the company.

And also vice versa for the same reasons. I wouldn't take the logo off of company property either.

I suspect he owns the truck and business.

Just doesn't want to end up like the plumber who's truck was getting used by terrorists.

Yeah I'm talking more from a intermingling liabilities standpoint. An LLC is basically worthless if you don't keep personal property and company property segregated.

If you rear end somebody in your privately owned vehicle with your company logo on the side, both you personally and the company you own are getting sued and all your assets are on the table.

putting a company logo on your truck just lets other people know there is a company involved to sue if they wreck into you. Yes you can be 100% not at fault and guess who is gonna get sued from a personal injury attorney saying you have insurance just pay up.

Wouldn’t be any different if it was a company truck with a company logo. The driver isn’t normally pursued (beyond being named and having to participate in the suit) for personal finances because the policy covering the commercial vehicle is almost always way higher than what you would have in personal auto coverage. If the company or personal auto policy didn’t amount to shit and the company didn’t have money, they would go after the driver regardless of the vehicle ownership or placard. In reality, it’s almost universally not pursued beyond the amount of insurance coverage if in fact it is underinsured.

If the personal vehicle just has the company logo on it, that doesn’t mean diddly for liability.

Lot of reasons not to do intermingle as you pointed out, but this isn’t one of them. At least beyond an academic standpoint.

get a decal that stays on due to static, and not a "sticker" with glue of some type that will leave a residual stickiness.
Yeah something like that is what I would like to do. What I have is a sticker and I was hoping to stick it to something removable that would attach to the aluminum truck door. I just haven’t found a good way to do that.
