Remington 700 triggers - recall versions RFI

I have 3x Remington 700 triggers in the parts box. Take offs from guns that I think we’re in the recall period. 2009-2013. 1-2 are an x mark pro and the other came form an SPS. I swapped in timmenys because I don’t like my guns to go boom unless I want them to.

Are these things worth anything? Can someone send them back to Remington for a new, less dangerous trigger pack or something or a Remington branded tourniquet?

That Remington went broke and no longer exists.

That’s what happens when people believe biased 60 minute reporting, ambulance chasing attorneys, and anyone with a accident from poor gun handling jumps on the bandwagon.

I don't think they're worth anything and would likely be a liability since it's a known issue. Having been at the range when one of those rifles went off upon closing the bolt, I wouldn't want that to happen again. We only were able to repeat it one more time but the shooter (my friend's wife) won't touch the rifle even after a new trigger was installed.

That version of Remington doesn't exist anymore (shotty work even after the trigger problem, pump and dump by private equity Cerebus, and lawsuits lead to their demise). The new RemArms isn't doing work on the old stuff.

Thanks. Into the garbage they go.
And swapping your triggers did not resolve the random boom issue with R700s. The R700 and all of its clones are still an action that is better off carried without a round in the chamber. Doesn’t mean they’re not useable, just that they require additional safety protocols compared to some other actions.
