For sale is my semi custom Remington 700 SS adl rifle chambered in .358 WSSM
I had this rifle built back when Indiana allowed centerfire use with caliber and length restrictions, it was built by Gary Roman out of Louisville, KY.
The action has been blueprinted and I had the whole rifle bead blasted to cut down on glare.
I also had the bolt fluted by Karl Feldcamp for looks.
The .358 WSSM is a 25 WSSM necked up to .35 cal and case trimmed to 1.625” length.
It will throw a 225 Accubond at 2425 fps and the 200 Accubond at 2563 fps.
I will include reloading info to the buyer.
This rifle has a Douglas #4 stainless steel barrel with a 12” twist cut to 22” I have shot less than 300 rounds down the barrel since I’ve owned it and realistically probably closer to 200.
Accuracy wise I have always been happy with it at 1” at 100 as my chances at shots were less than 200 yds.
Actually my longest was 180 yds.
I rarely shot it only to make sure it was sighted in before season and not just for target use…..this is purely a hunting rifle and has a few marks to prove it.
The stock is a Bell and Carlson Carbelite and the action is bedded with Devcon 10110 bedding compound.
Many people have had issues with feeding with the .358’s but this rifle feeds perfectly with 2 in the belly and one in the chamber, with that said I have never needed a second shot on a deer.
Every deer shot with this gun has dropped either right there or within sight.
And let me tell you many many deer have fallen to this rifle. My guess is over 40.
Right now the rifle wears a Leupold vx111 2.5x8 scope in Matte, it is NOT included with this price unless someone wants it and then I will work out a deal.
The scope rings and bases are included. (Leupold DD)
The rifle weighs 7 lbs 10 oz and is a joy to carry in the woods.
Also to go with the rifle is a custom set of Hornady dies and brand new Winchester brass that has already been upsized to .35 cal from 25.
I have 225 pieces of brass so you will most likely never run out as this cartridge is easy on barrel life.
There is around 250 200 grain Accubond bullets along with about 4 225 Accubond bullets all to go with rifle.
So, all this will go as one unit, as many shotgun only states are now starting to allow certain cartridges with restrictions this rifle may be legal in some of those states.
I have a soft spot for this rifle as I have killed so many deer with it but since my state now allows all centerfire cartridges .223 and up I need to get on that bandwagon as I also would like to use my suppressor.
