Remis arrow company Day Six just came out with a new BH made with Magnacut steel. Just when I thought every possible BH could be made- GRIN- we get another......

BUT, it's not only a great design but made with Magnacut, a true premium knife steel. HERE

The guys that want the best will be interested. It's an arrow with integrated insert/sleeve system- I am assuming that perfectly centers the BH- and the BH. All that makes a lot of sense...but its expensive.

From one small business guy to another- I wish him well.

The D6 components and broadheads shoot really well for me. Haven’t had any issues with them. The angle of their blade is not as easy to fully resharpen as a straight edge like IW though.

I have a Magna cut processing knife and it's amazing steel. So much better than the steel we see in BH's- even the expensive ones.

That said, I'm OK with spending the extra time truing up my inexpensive arrow/BH. Most of my hunting is with a recurve and 30y and under shots. If I was shooting long shots- thats where accurate systems like Remi's prove their worth.

The broadheads look great, and Remi is definitely a badarse.

Still, it's unlikely I'll ever be wanting to spend that sort of money on broadheads and arrow systems; particularly with how many arrows and broadheads I lose when shooting through animals every year.

The Stay Sharp guide works pretty well. You can kinda roll it around a bit so it will work on the little bit of radius. I think D6 is selling it on their site.

That’s what I use. It works well and still gets it sharp, just not as efficient because of the blade angle.

The guy who makes this has a different version on his website but I haven’t tried it.

If I’m reading it right, the replacement blades are 65.00 for a 3 pack. Thats reasonable for a premium steel. But I guess you have to invest in the complete setup first.

Just an FYI, this isn't exactly new, been out over a year I know, I don't remember the Magnacut part for sure, that could be newer. But the design has been out before Remi ever bought into the company.

I think if you are going to use a .165 shaft, it's about the best option out there. I haven't cared for any of the deep six components personally. This system with the single piece sliding down over the shaft really helps to eliminate stress risers that can lead to bending of the components.

Looks like day 6 has an expandable broadhead coming out on the 14th. Very curious to see the details

They made the Magnacut video announcement 3 days ago. Yes, same BH design...but it looks like the magna cut steel is something fairly new.

I see Day Six also has a video out there explaining the fallacies of the Single Bevel BH.. 👏 👏 👏 👏

So now we have legit videos explaining the fallacies of the Ashby Silliness that dominated archery for awhile- Iron wills vid on why you don't build an arrow to hit a FOC number....and here explaining the reason why SB BH's edges are more fragile and just plain are not as good, Finally common sense. I have been calling BS on that clown for decades.

These have me intrigued. May have to pick up a pack and see how they do next to iron wills. Magnacut is one heck of a steel. Wonder if retention through bone would be better.

I enjoyed the video but I think it's easy to poke holes in some of what they say.

I'm not saying single bevel is super to double bevel either, but even though I've used and enjoy both with huge success, I still prefer single bevel, even with the downsides of them dulling a little faster and the edge not being as supported.
