IMO HS precision are heavy and bulky. B&C sporter stock is a better choice especially for a short barrel rifle. Thanks guys I'll check out HS precision, grayboe for starters.
My price range is around 250. I forgot to mention I have a shorter barrel
Dang, Ya that would have been nice. Thanks for the suggestion, I definitely need to keep an eye on the classifieds. To bad you don't need a stock for a short action because I recently saw a HS Prec. take off stock from a Rem LTR for sale over on a different forum that was in your price range.
Personally, I think the HS Prec. stocks are a better and a higher quality stock than are the B&C stocks. The HS Prec. are generally a couple ounces heavier than the B&C but that's because they are more solid and less hollow. The sporter style HS Prec. stocks like those that were on the original Remington VSSF 1 and Sendero 1 didn't have the palm swell or the wider forearm and if they were laying next to a B&C sporter model I don't know that you could tell the difference between the two by just looking at them.
Just make sure you educate yourself on what and which model stock you're buying. Some models have palm swell and some don't. It's a personal taste thing and you may or may not like the feel. Also, some have a more sporter and narrower forearm while others are wider. Again, it's personal taste so just make sure you know exactly what you're buying before you purchase one.Dang, Ya that would have been nice. He isn’t switching from a mag box he is switching from a blind magazine (ADL) to a hinged floor plate BDL. Most people prefer to be able to drop the floor plate and unloaded all the rounds in the rifle instead of having to cycle the bolt to remove unfired rounds like an ADL.Sorry for the hijack but I'm curious as to why you're switching from a mag box to BDL as I'm having a custom built and specifically want a box as I hate my BDL. Is there a reason you don't like the box?
Because it's quicker and easier to throw a mag in and out rather than dropping the floorplate and having cartridges falling out in the snow, etc. If I'm travelling by E-bike and see something I want to go after, it's easier to grab a mag and throw it in than it is to fish around in my pockets and load cartridges into the magazine. He isn’t switching from a mag box he is switching from a blind magazine (ADL) to a hinged floor plate BDL. Some people prefer ADL style and they are an ounce lighter.

I have a new Grayboe Outlander I would sell. Its an M700 AWR 30-06 take-off. Brown w/black webbing and a 1 inch recoil pad. $275 shipped.
Oh cool, let me give it a google and see if its right for me, get back to you shortly. The classifieds came to you!
Just curious why would you have to fish around in your pocket? You can keep 3-4 rounds in the magazine of a BDL even when riding your E-bike. See something to go after then hike over and if you want to shoot run the bolt to load a round and shoot.Because it's quicker and easier to throw a mag in and out rather than dropping the floorplate and having cartridges falling out in the snow, etc. If I'm travelling by E-bike and see something I want to go after, it's easier to grab a mag and throw it in than it is to fish around in my pockets and load cartridges into the magazine.
