Reloading the 277 Fury 6.8x51 SIG Hybrid Case

I have a Straight Jacket 277 Furry barrel on a Sig Cross. I loaded for is right out of the gate using “sticky bolt” as my pressure sign. I ended up loading 45.5 gr of Varget behind 150gr SGK at 2990 fps. They grouped well and extracted well for the first 150 rounds. I started experiencing sticky bolt around 150 and by 300 it was pretty bad. Essentially the “277” ring that everyone is talking about would scratch the brass leaving brass in the chamber. I cleaned the chamber well and it was better for a few rounds then I redneck polished the chamber and that did real well for 50 rounds.

My plan is to polish the chamber one more time and then see if I can find an accuracy node around 2850 fps. I think I could be happy with that and hopefully eliminate the sticky bolt problems.

Clr and a 12ga bronze shotgun brush(or bronze 308 chamber brush) chucked into a drill, has gotten any stubborn accumulation from a chamber,a bronze bore brush on a drill has removed most/all of any carbon ring I've encountered after a good 30 min clr soak.
