Reflective make any difference?

Not a hunting related question. I do some ice camping during ice fishing season and was wondering if those reflective mats make any difference in retaining heat. I sleep with no heater and looking for some tips on keeping warm. The extra weight doesn’t matter.

Thanks

It doesn’t hurt to use them. I always use 2 pads, a closed cell foam pad then a highly R-value rated inflatable pad (Xtherm) and does well in cold Alaska camping

I doubt you'll find any sort of empirical data, but It's one of those "it doesn't hurt" kind of things.

If bulk and weight isn't a problem, some 1" closed cell foam insulation on the floor would serve you well.
