I've been using Carlton's non-domed for quite awhile. I throw one in and I don't even have to think about it......the sounds just flow. And that's why I use them. A few years back I ordered some of the Phelps in the exact same size as the Carlton's, and I can't get a sound out of them without some serious adjusting/contorting in my mouth. It's weird......I've measured everything on them and they're identical in size. I felt like a kid learning how to whistle with those things, and can't even get a simple sound out.
