If you can afford it go Aimpoint. But if they're out of your budget, there's a YouTuber named FocusTripp who drop tests optics similar to Forms methods. From recollection he's a fan of the budget Sig Romeo 5 series. After numerous drops on steel plates and rocks at shoulder height his Romeo 5 was still shooting in the same hole. I forget what distance he was testing it at (he does more tactical reviews) but still impressive to see a sub $150 optic hold up like that.

Can't speak to RS standards, but in the LE realm aimpoint is king and if you can't afford aimpoint, holosun is the next most common for both pistols and rifles.

I really like my Leupold RDS and have been thinking about throwing it on a lever action for a black bear hunt next year. Seems solid and it’s affordable, and a nice small dot.

Put a lot of rounds through a 12 gauge (slugs) that was wearing an Eotech- never had a failure. Probably will move it to my 45-70. Very fast target acquisition with it.
