I've purchased an attachment to replace the iron sights on my 348 Don't worry, I didn't drill and holes. If I plan on shooting out to 100 yards what size MOA red dot should I purchase . Pigs, deer and bear are the main quarry. Thanks

Most of the higher-end duty optics for rifles are 2MOA. Big enough that you can find it quickly, small enough that you can aim "precisely" with it.

Most of the larger dots are intended for pistols.

1 moa at 100 meters (about 100 yards) is approximately 1”. So a 3 moa dot would be about a 3” circle at 100 yards. I wouldn’t go any bigger than that.

I run a 3 MOA on my turkey guns and 2 MOA on most of my rifles. If I was setting up a pistol dedicated to hunting, not fast-moving targets or bear defense, I would look at the Trijicon 1 MOA RMR.
