I recently acquired a Tikka T3x Superlight in 308. I hope to use it as my all around mountain rifle. I have only owned full size remington and winchesters prior to this. In the interest of not reinventing the wheel, can anyone recommend a good factory loading that works in this model? Thanks in advance for any replies.

I have a friend that swears by the Nosler 150gr. BT loads. He doesn't load and only shoots a box or two a year. His plan is to shoot a few boxes than have me load the brass. The factory load shoots great in his Remington Mnt. rifle.

I have a superlite in a .308 as well, mine really loves the Hornady 178gr ELDXs. It has done well on deer for me and the same bullet in a .300 mag has preformed well on elk for me.

175gr Terminal Ascent. My brother has a Springfield 2020 in .308 and this round is easily a .5" moa round in his rifle.

Slightly smaller but my wife shoots 140 gr Nosler with Accubonds out of her Sako finnlight 7-.08. So far sheep, moose and now an elk have lost the arguement.

The only way to find out is to try different brands until you find the one that shoots the best.
This...
When I tried 5 different factory loads there was a huge difference in grouping, of about 3/4" to 1.5" at 100yds.

I have factory loads that work amazing in one of my calibers but not in the other. The two main hunting rifles I have ended up with Federal Terminal Ascent and the other being Hornady Superformance.
