We had a table in the front corner with a stove on it. Wood stove in the other corner. Sat on cots to eat. Plenty of relaxing and story telling

Holy cow......I'm getting claustrophobic just looking at the pics. I guess I just need more space than the average person. Maybe that's why people think I'm crazy living in my 14x16 by myself every season. LOL.

that fire retardant is strongly carcinogenic also so beware

Ya, I hate the smell of the fire retardant too. I always had trouble even walking through the doors into Sportsman's Warehouse when they'd have their MT Canvas tent set up in there. It was like a wall of chemicals hitting the olfactory system......overpowering. Can't imagine sleeping in one with the retardant. If it's a carcinogen, I wonder why CA "requires" it.

At the hunt expo in SLC last month, Davis tent was doing 14x16 tents with the angle kits for the frame for $799. The ISE is coming up in a couple of weeks and they said they would be doing a similar special for it. I'm really tempted at picking one up for elk season this fall.

That's a really good deal, but I think that their traditional pole setup is easier to setup when you're by yourself.....which is most the time for me. Either way, that's a good deal.

Going to strongly agree with 5MilesBack on the traditional pole set up. I can set up our 14x16 Davis by myself in about 30 minutes. 2 guys makes it a lot easier and quicker. I've ran 4 in our tent comfortably, but we brought along a smaller 8x8 tent to use as the meal tent. Our cook set up is just a pop up canopy with walls, and works really well. Been running this setup since 2007, and couldn't be more comfortable from early to late in the seasons.
